The hottest songs of summers past — Part 1 [May 27, 2016]

FRIDAY, MAY 27, 2016 (6pm ET/3pm PT). We’re taking a look at the hottest songs of summers past — and we dare you not to sing along. Kroll Call is hosted by Dan J Kroll.
While the calendar may disagree — and we’re pretty sure that the groundhog can’t be trusted — to many people, Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer. And who are we to argue with an early start to summer?
As has been the tradition for holidays past, Kroll Call is celebrating the unofficial start of summer with one of our music playlist specials. In the past, we’ve rediscovered lost hits of the 80s and 90s, grooved to the hits of Motown, found out which ear worms were stuck in our Kroll Call team’s heads, and dodged evil twins as we listened to songs that became popular thanks to appearances on soap operas.
This time around, we thought it would be fun to take a look back at some of the biggest hits of summers past. You know, the songs that you were listening to on the beach, humming in the swimming pool, or whistling along to in the mountains. So grab a snack and sit back and relax while you sing along to the hottest songs of summers past.
Kroll Call airs every Friday at 6pm Eastern/3pm Pacific, and anytime on demand at krollcall.com. Free podcast downloads are available on iTunes and the Voice America Talk Radio Network. Kroll Call is hosted by Internet pioneer and personality Dan J Kroll, who developed the most widely read soap opera web site, soapcentral.com — a site that has been going strong since 1995.
