Brytni Sarpy (Bio)

Brytni Sarpy grew up in Southern California and became interested in acting after playing a witch in a high school performance of a Scottish play. Completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting at the University of California Santa Barbara, Brytni was cast in numerous main stage and local productions, earning acclaim for both her comedic sensibilities and dramatic range.

Her notable theater credits include co-starring as Hero in Shakespeare Santa Barbara’s Much Ado About Nothing, where the Santa Barbara Independent hailed her “graceful portrayal of the wronged bride;” originating the role of Beth in Barbara LeBow’s original production Plumfield, Iraq; and as beleaguered Joan Helford in J.B. Priestley’s Time and the Conways, a supporting role that earned her kudos for her “nuance and gusto” (Santa Barbara Independent).

Brytni is also a trained dancer and has studied in workshops with Bill Irwin, Sage Parker, and director Tina Landau. After receiving her degree, Brytni  relocated to Los Angeles and is currently represented theatrically by Pantheon Agency, as well as  Vision Talent and CESD for commercial and print work.

Brytni is currently starring in a developing pilot, Matchmaker. You can also catch Brytni in her film debut as Marcia, in Disney’s You Again, now available on DVD. Brytni’s commercial and print work includes: Nike, Nike Running, Yahoo, AT&T,  New Balance, Famous Footwear, Hewlett Packard, and Brighthouse Networks, with ad campaigns for “A sweet touch of hope” for the American Cancer Society, the Simon Youth Foundation, Seventeen magazine’s “stop bullying” campaign, and Susan G. Komen’s Breast Cancer Awareness with both New Balance and Rastaclat. Brytni also takes time to volunteer with Art of Elysium, Goodwill SoCal, Operation Blankets of Love, and Breast Cancer Awareness.
