An hour of TV talk with TVLine’s Kim Roots and special guest host Richard Simms (January 23, 2015)

FRIDAY, JANUARY 23 (6pm ET/3pm PT) This week on Kroll Call, who says you need a Kroll to have a Kroll Call? Special guest host Richard Simms helms an hour of chat about all-things-television with TVLine’s Kim Roots. Kroll Call airs live every Friday at 6pm ET/3pm PT and anytime on-demand at

Richard Simms has the gift of gab — and a passion for all forms of entertainment. This week, while host Dan J Kroll is on assignment, Richard steps in to host an hour of television chatter. By day, Richard is the executive editor of Soaps In Depth magazine. He is a contributor for Kroll Call and Sweatpants & Coffee. He is also the author of several books, including his latest scary-with-a-sense-of-humor release, Homesick.

Kim Roots got her start in journalism when the arts editor of The New Haven Register gave her a shot as a student reporter. After graduating from Northeastern University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, Roots wrote for The Patriot Ledger and Science & Theology News before turning her love of TV (and many childhood summers spent soaking up Days of Our Lives storylines) into an editor gig at Soaps In Depth. She covered All My Children and ultimately became senior news editor, then took a few years to eat cookies/work as a writer/editor at Girl Scouts of the USA before landing at TVLine. She lives in Manhattan with her husband, Nate.

Kroll Call airs live at 6pm Eastern/3pm Pacific on and the VoiceAmerica Talk Radio Network. It is available for free on-demand on iTunes, Stitcher, and
