POLL: Do you use an online dating service/app?

On the November 7 edition of Kroll Call, our panel of experts (Jeremy Helligar, Terri Ivens, and Mukee Okan) all agreed that online dating was an important tool for meeting new love interests — but all felt that in-person interactions are also very important.

According to a recent study  by U.S. researchers in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, more than one-third of U.S. marriages between 2005 and 2012 began with online dating. The study was commissioned by eHarmony.

Of those who did not meet online, nearly 22 percent met through work, 19 percent through friends, nine percent at a bar or club and four percent at church, the study said.

The lowest satisfaction rates were reported by people who met through family, work, bars/clubs or blind dates.

But we wondered if our readers and listeners have used online dating, so we whipped up a little poll.

Do you use or have you in the past used some form of online dating?
