Kroll Call

I wanted you to be among the first to know of some very exciting changes that will be coming in the weeks ahead.
This fall, I will be launching a weekly non-soap radio program called “Kroll Call.” The show will contain some soap elements, but it will focus mostly on everything else that I am passionate about — music, food, family, film, television, sports, and anything else that pops into my mind.
For me it feels like a natural progression of everything that soapcentral.com and Soap Central Live has become. Since 1995, I’ve been the “soap guy” who people felt was approachable to talk about their stories. With the advent of social media, people have been surprised to know that I like other things. This may come as a HUGE surprise to all of you who have spent hours on the phone or instant messenger chattering on with me about the randomest of topics, so imagine what it’s been like for me to hear from people that they didn’t know there was more to me than the soaps.
This will be my first new business venture in 20 years and it’s a mixture of excitement and what-the-hell-are-you-thinking. I hope that you’ll all embrace it the way that you’ve embraced soapcentral.com.
The web site isn’t going anywhere. I still love everything about it, including all of you. So fear not: I will continue to be the “soap guy” for as long as the soap world will have me. Personally, I think it enjoys having its way with me.
There will be a lot more about this in the weeks ahead. There are all sorts of details to work out, web sites to code, and all that good stuff. But I did want to circle you in on the excitement and hopefully you’ll want to be a part of Kroll Call when it debuts.
